New Format for 2012

Following the disbanding of the North and south Premier Leagues in England, ECB have been supporting the creation of localised regional leagues for 2012.

The North Womens League has now been joined with the White rose League to form the Yorkshire Womens Regional League. This will see the new league have 2 divisions and encompass the returning team from the North Premier League, Old Modernians along with Anston and Treeton who are returning from the Midlands League.

The purpose of creating these leagues is to offer Sunday League cricket to players without the large travelling distances which has been a big factor in losing players to the game.
